Ingredients

  • 2 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts about 500g
  • 2 tbsp whole grain mustard
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup for a vegan option
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped optional, for garnish

Method

  1. Prep the Chicken: Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
  2. Make the Glaze: In a small bowl, mix the whole grain mustard, olive oil, and honey until well combined.
  3. Coat the Chicken: Brush the mustard glaze evenly over both sides of the chicken breasts.
  4. Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 200°C (400°F) for 3 minutes.
  5. Cook the Chicken: Place the chicken breasts in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 74°C (165°F).
  6. Rest and Serve: Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve with your favorite sides like roasted vegetables, quinoa, or a fresh salad.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the mustard glaze for 30 minutes before cooking.
  • If the chicken breasts are thick, you can butterfly them to ensure even cooking.
  • Adjust the honey quantity to your preferred level of sweetness
