Ingredients
  

  • 300 g cavatelli pasta
  • 200 g broccoli, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese optional

Method
 

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the cavatelli according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Add chopped broccoli to the pan and cook until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Toss the cooked cavatelli into the broccoli mixture and mix well. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
  5. Garnish with grated Parmesan cheese before serving.

Notes

For added protein, you can toss in cooked chickpeas or grilled chicken.
To make the dish vegan, skip the Parmesan cheese or use a plant-based alternative.
Feel free to use whole-grain or gluten-free cavatelli for a healthier twist.
