Method
- Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Set up a dredging station with three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs.
- Dredge each cod fillet in flour, dip into the eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs. Press gently to adhere.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Add the cod fillets to the pan (don’t overcrowd) and fry for about 3–4 minutes per side or until golden and cooked through.
- Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Serve hot with lemon wedges and your favorite sides.
Notes
For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free flour and breadcrumbs. You can also use an air fryer at 400°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes for a healthier option.
