  • 1 lb ground beef or mix of beef and pork
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 small onion grated
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • 2 tbsp Parmesan cheese optional
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp dried oregano

Method

  1. Prepare the Mixture: In a large bowl, combine ground beef, egg, grated onion, minced garlic, parsley, Parmesan cheese (if using), salt, pepper, paprika, and oregano. Mix gently until well combined.
  2. Shape the Meatballs: Use your hands to form the mixture into small balls, about 1.5 inches in diameter.
  3. Cook the Meatballs:
  4. Oven Method: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 18-20 minutes, turning halfway through.
  5. Pan-frying Method: Heat a skillet with 1-2 tbsp of olive oil. Cook the meatballs over medium heat until browned on all sides and cooked through (about 12-15 minutes).
  6. Serve and Enjoy: Serve with your favorite sauce, over pasta, rice, or as an appetizer.

Notes

Use almond flour or crushed pork rinds as a low-carb alternative if you prefer a firmer texture.
Resting the meatballs for 10 minutes after mixing helps flavors meld better.
Add a splash of milk to the mixture if the meat feels too dry.
