Ingredients

  • 4 boneless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup pecans chopped
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Method

  1. Prepare the Chicken: Season chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.
  2. Cook the Chicken: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken breasts for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. Make the Praline Sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter over low heat. Add chopped pecans and toast for 1-2 minutes. Stir in brown sugar, heavy cream, and vanilla extract. Simmer until the mixture thickens slightly (about 3-5 minutes).
  4. Combine: Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning the praline sauce over each piece. Reduce heat to low and simmer for another 10 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked and coated with the sauce.
  5. Rest: Let the dish rest for 10 minutes before serving to enhance flavor.

Notes

Substitute pecans with walnuts for a slightly different nutty flavor.
Pair with mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
