Prepare the Crust:
- Crush Oreos into fine crumbs and mix with melted butter.
- Press the mixture into a 9x13-inch pan to form a crust. Chill in the refrigerator while preparing the layers.
Make the Cheesecake Layer:
- Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Fold in 8 oz of whipped topping. Spread over the crust.
Prepare the Pudding Layer:
- Whisk chocolate pudding mix with cold milk until thickened.
- Spread over the cheesecake layer.
Top with Whipped Topping:
- Spread the remaining whipped topping over the pudding layer.
Chill and Serve:
- Chill the dessert in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Garnish with chocolate shavings or crushed Oreos before serving.
