Ingredients

  • 1 package puff pastry approximately 250g
  • 150 g mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 80 g pepperoni slices
  • 1 egg, beaten for egg wash
  • 1 tsp dried oregano or Italian seasoning

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut it into six triangles.
  3. Place a small amount of shredded mozzarella cheese and 2-3 pepperoni slices on the wider end of each triangle.
  4. Sprinkle a pinch of oregano or Italian seasoning on top for added flavor (optional).
  5. Roll up each triangle, starting from the wide end, to form a croissant shape.
  6. Arrange the croissants on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until the croissants are golden brown and puffed up.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, replace pepperoni with sun-dried tomatoes or sautéed mushrooms.
Serve warm with a side of marinara sauce for dipping.
