Ingredients

For the Tortellini and Filling:
  • 500 cheese g tortellini
  • 200 flank g steak or ribeye, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
For the Sauce:
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder

Method

  1. Cook the Tortellini: Boil the tortellini in salted water according to package instructions (usually 3-4 minutes). Drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Filling: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced steak, onions, and bell peppers. Season with salt and pepper. Sauté until the steak is browned and vegetables are tender, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add heavy cream, cream cheese, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir until smooth and heated through. Add shredded provolone and cheddar, stirring until the sauce is creamy and the cheese has melted.
  4. Combine: Add the cooked tortellini to the sauce and toss to coat. Add the steak and vegetable mixture back into the skillet and mix everything together.
  5. Serve: Garnish with additional cheese if desired and serve hot.

Notes

  • You can substitute the steak with chicken for a lighter option.
  • If you prefer a thicker sauce, add more cream cheese or reduce the sauce slightly.
  • For extra flavor, sprinkle some freshly chopped parsley or chives on top.
