Ingredients
  

  • 500 boneless, g skinless chicken breast cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks 240ml
  • 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce 120ml
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce 15ml
  • 1 tbsp honey 15ml
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp ginger 5g
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil 15ml
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch optional, for thickening
  • 1 tbsp water if using cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds for garnish
  • 2 green onions chopped, for garnish

Method
 

Prepare the Sauce
  1. In a small bowl, mix teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, honey, garlic, and ginger. Set aside.
Cook the Chicken
  1. Heat sesame oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  2. Add chicken pieces and cook for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
Add the Pineapple & Sauce
  1. Add pineapple chunks to the pan and pour the prepared teriyaki sauce over the chicken. Stir well.
  2. Let it simmer for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Thicken the Sauce (Optional)
  1. If you want a thicker sauce, mix cornstarch with water and add it to the pan. Stir and cook for 2-3 more minutes.
Final Touches
  1. Sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onions over the dish.
  2. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
