Ingredients

1 kg chicken wings
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp ginger grated
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds for garnish
  • 2 stalks green onions chopped, for garnish

Method

Prepare the Chicken:
  1. Pat dry the chicken wings with paper towels.
  2. Season with salt, black pepper, and coat with cornstarch. Let rest for 10 minutes.
Cook the Chicken:
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Fry the wings until golden and crispy (about 8-10 minutes per side).
  3. Alternatively, bake at 200°C for 25 minutes, flipping halfway, or air-fry at 180°C for 20 minutes.
Make the Sauce:
  1. In a saucepan, heat sesame oil over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and ginger, sauté for 30 seconds.
  3. Stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, and rice vinegar. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
Coat the Wings:
  1. Toss the crispy wings in the soy garlic sauce until evenly coated.
Serve:
  1. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
  2. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, double-fry the wings.
  • Substitute honey with brown sugar for a richer sweetness.
  • Adjust soy sauce quantity for a saltier or milder taste.
