Ingredients
  

  • 500 g ground chicken
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped cilantro
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper adjust to taste
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil for cooking

Method
 

  1. Prepare the Mixture: In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, egg, breadcrumbs, cilantro, salt, black pepper, paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and hot sauce. Mix until well combined.
  2. Shape the Patties: Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties. Let them rest in the fridge for 10 minutes.
Cook the Patties:
  1. For Pan-Frying: Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  2. For Baking: Preheat the oven to 180°C. Place patties on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 18-20 minutes, flipping halfway.
  3. Serve: Enjoy with buns, in wraps, or alongside a fresh salad

  • Adjust the spice level by adding or reducing cayenne pepper and hot sauce.
  • Use panko breadcrumbs for extra crispiness.
  • These patties freeze well; store them in an airtight container for up to 2 months.
