Prepare the Batter:
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. In another bowl, mix milk, egg, and melted butter until combined. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until smooth. Let the batter rest for 5 minutes.
Heat the Pan:
- Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease with butter.
Make the Mickey Shape:
- Pour batter onto the skillet to form one large circle for the head and two smaller circles on top for ears. Use a spoon or squeeze bottle for precision.
Cook the Pancakes:
- Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges are set, about 2-3 minutes. Flip carefully with a spatula and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
Decorate and Serve:
- Arrange on a plate and decorate with chocolate chips, whipped cream, or fruit slices to bring Mickey's face to life. Serve warm with syrup or other toppings of choice.
Notes
To keep pancakes warm, place them on a baking sheet in an oven set to 200°F.
Use a pancake mold for an easier Mickey Mouse shape.
